My Story

Since 2002, I have been a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) focusing on injury prevention and rehabilitation. I earned my Practitioner and Therapist certificates from Hirudaya Holistic Life Center School of Massage in San Luis Obispo, California and then became an instructor for the school from 2003-2006. My teaching focused on Sports Massage and Ethics & Professionalism for Bodyworkers. I also taught Sports Massage at the California Holistic Institute from 2012-2016. In 2014, I earned my Massage Therapist State Certification through the California Massage Therapy Council.

While working with clients dealing with varying physical maladies, I noticed a strong body-mind connection to their challenges. This connection inspired me to learn more about body energy systems and how trauma and stress is stored in the body creating tension and pain. Through my learning, I came to the realization that working with the body's energy is equally, if not more important, than focusing only on body ailments through massage. 

 

In 2018, I began my official Bodymind education by initially becoming certified “Proficient” in Touch For Health Kinesiology Theory, practice and assessment focusing on meridian energy balancing and muscle testing. I studied and trained under Matthew Thie, son of Touch For Health founder, John Thie D.C., from the International Kinesiology College (IKC). I continued to expand my Bodymind education by earning certification as a Clinical EFT Practitioner in 2021 from EFT Universe founded by Dawson Church, PhD.  My education continues as I delve deeper into the mind-body connection with classes, seminars and readings, and I will forever be a lifelong student/learner of the  "energy" healing arts.

Bodymind theory is the foundation of my approach to intuitive energy healing. I find it integral to better understand what the body is holding and what the body is trying to tell us in order to find our healing.
